A Re-Purposed Leather Jacket made into a Purse

Here is a recent custom order I made for a customer named Maria. She had her fathers Danier leather jacket but didn't know what to do with it, the arms were too short on everyone who tried it on. So it sat in a closet unworn until she came across my website. I had a fun time arranging all the pieces and figuring out how they might look best on the convertible cross-body tote design that maria had picked out. Maria added to the design and requested a front zip pocket that acts like a wallet, with 10 card pockets and a zip pocket inside. This I used part of the paisley print jacket lining for. One of the coat's pockets I kept as a functioning pocket and used it on the back of the bag. Maria chose my watercolour floral fabric to line the bag since the jacket had two different lining fabrics and there wasn't enough of one for an entire bag lining.
