I photographed the sky last night, it was just so beautiful. Close to sunset, I zoomed the camera in as close as I could with my elbows steady on the kitchen table, through the screen with a breeze gently blowing in. Far too many times have I grab my camera, dashed outside to find a spot to set up and glanced up at the sky to see that the moment had passed. This time I just started shooting, right through the window screen, not too sure how the photos would look. But I'm enamoured with what did happen, a gauzy painterly effect was achieved because of the screen. I'm imagining these as fabric prints made into long flowing dresses for summer. Or blown up and printed onto canvas and hung on a stark black wall.
